Oh Little Town of Bethlehem - Over the Rhine, Fairuz, Brothers of the Baladi

Thanks to Mercy Aiken of NEME.

A musical journey through modern Bethlehem—in all its beauty and pain. From the church of the Holy Nativity, to the refugee camps and the checkpoint. Most of these photos were taken by me after living in Bethlehem on and off for several years. Please remember the residents of Bethlehem in your prayers. Please advocate for justice and mercy for all people in land of Christ. The video starts with Brothers of the Baladi playing the oud. Then a fragment of Fairuz singing Silent Night in Arabic, before leading into “Bethlehem” by Over the Rhine (album: Blood Oranges in the Snow).
