Sabra and Shatila Testimony
This week marks the 28th anniversary of the Sabra and Shatila massacres, which took place in refugee camps in Beirut, Lebanon on September 16-18, 1982. We believe that for reconciliation between Palestinians and Israelis to begin, the truth about such events must be remembered, honored, and acknowledged. In that spirit, we offer the testimony of the Rev. Don Wagner, who entered Sabra and Shatila on Monday, September 20, 1982:
